"Hello! Welcome to Pabo's Cafe!"
Baekhyun glanced up and saw Chanyeol smiling at the customers. He blinked for a moment as his boyfriend took the attention of the young ladies. Ever since Chanyeol began helping around, sales had gone up. Baekhyun felt happy about the statistics but having other people fawn over the giant wasn't the best feeling.
While Chanyeol went to seat the girls, Baekhyun decided to snap out of it and check inventory. "Luhan, I'm going to the back and making these special orders that came in this morning," he said to the busy blonde ringing up people.
"Alright," Luhan answers back over his shoulder. "I'll come and help you when I can." Just before Baekhyun turned to the kitchen door Chanyeol jogged over with a smile on his face. "Banana bread, green tea with ice and two chocolate chip muffins."
Baekhyun looked at him. "Just that? The bread and muffins are in the glass case. I'll get the ingredients for the green tea."
Coming around and moving past the counter gate, Chanyeol went behind the counter and towered over his small vixen. "I thought I'd give it a shot and try to make it myself," he said, smiling. "I want to show that I can actually do it."
Baekhyun raised his brows before his eyes wandered to the girls in the back. "Hm..." His lips were pursed. "Okay. Grab your ingredients." Chanyeol smiled, following Baekhyun in the kitchen as he was supposed to do. "There's green tea in the storage room, you should—"
Before Baekhyun could finish his sentence or walk to the pantry to get flour, he felt himself be tugged back and cornered against a counter. A smirk spread across Chanyeol's face and Baekhyun glared at the devil. "What're you doing?"
"Spending some time with you."
"It's work hours," Baekhyun exasperatedly sighed. "Stop this."
"Doesn't mean we can’t take a one minute break."
"Kiss me, vixen, and I'll let you go," Chanyeol bargained.
"This isn't a good time," Baekhyun argued, attempting to push the giant off of him, but failing. He was stuck against the counter.
Chanyeol cocked his head down at the flustered male. "Any time when you get that look on your face is a good time to pull you aside for a—"
Frowning heavily, Baekhyun pursed his lips. "What look? You know what, never mind. Let's do this some other time—back at home."
Taking the small brunette's face in between his hands, Chanyeol laughed. "You're the only one I ever look at," he said.
"I don't give a damn if a thousand naked women—or men—paraded in your little cafe—"
"Okay, Chanyeol, that's great, but we really—"
"—because the only naked vixen I'd be willing to take home and hold is the owner."
Baekhyun's face flushed and he drew his eyes down. "You have customers and I have orders," the brunette grumbled.
"Like I said, I'll let you go if you kiss me," Chanyeol grinned. "I told you this, didn't I?"
"Why're you so persistent?" Baekhyun challenged.
"I've always been persistent!" Chanyeol replied. "That's how I got you back, isn't it?"
Kissing the prideful vixen on his forehead despite the latter's mutterings, Chanyeol sighed. "Yes."
"Park, honest to god, I have a business to run and I'm so close to firing you," the little one threatened.
Chanyeol threw his head back and laughed, stepping back from the brunette and freeing him from his hold. "Honey, I'm not even taking paid leave to help you around here," the giant said, watching Baekhyun huff away. "I'm doing this because I lo—"
"Because you're stupid—"
"Or because I'm so in love with you, a busy CEO like me would take a day off just to work pro bono."
Dragging a sack of flour out from the pantry, Baekhyun heaved it on the counter. "I never asked you go work here for free instead of—"
"Exactly," Chanyeol said. "You never asked me. I'm doing this because I want to. I wish I could see you every day, but I can't so I—"
"We live together, Chanyeol."
"And we also sleep together!" the giant added. "Naked! With body parts inside...you know, but still, Baek—"
With his face red, Baekhyun brought a hand to his face. "Chanyeol, for the love of god, I hate you! Just go—make your stupid tea!"
"I'm trying to tell you that I love you," Chanyeol groaned, moving to a back storage room. "You make faces when I'm with customers."
"You're being paranoid," Baekhyun muttered, grabbing bowls from cabinets. "Stop accusing me of things."
Chanyeol gave him a look just as he opened the door to the storage room. "I know because I recognize the look on your face."
"Oh, really," Baekhyun said, disbelieving.
"Yeah," Chanyeol said. "Because it's the same face I make when you're extra friendly with other guys that come in here. You don't notice."
"That's you, though," Baekhyun pointed out. "You've always been that way—you punched Sehun for kissing me, remember?"
"He knew I liked you! A lot! He knew that we were doing things!" Chanyeol yelled all the way from inside the storage place.
"Yeah, yeah," Baekhyun said, rolling his eyes as he started making batter. "Just hurry up with your tea."
"I'm serious, Baek. I was feeling really betrayed back then," Chanyeol said dramatically. "My almost-boyfriend and best friend kissing."
"Chanyeol, stop reminiscing. You have some high class women out there wanting their green tea."
“Alright, whatever,” Chanyeol said, giving in. As he came out of the storage room with what he needed, he passed by his vixen, leaned down and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. “
